In January, The Yeezy Mafia leaked information about Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 styles rumored to release this year. Among the pairs that sparked buzz was the upcoming “Clay” iteration, and now we have the first look.

Picking up where things left off with the launch of two “Static” 350 V2s, the latest version of the lifestyle runner will boast a brown Primeknit design featuring a burgundy translucent stripe across the knitted upper. Adidas branding is kept to a minimum, with the Three Stripes logo spotted within the heel portion of the sock liner alongside an eye-catching orange heel tab. The upper sits atop a Boost-cushioned midsole with a semitranslucent rubber outsole.

Last month, The Yeezy Mafia leaked a rendering of the “Clay” Yeezy Boost 350 V2 with a caption stating that the sneaker is expected to be part of a special release, but it did not indicate whether there are any changes in retail pricing or how limited the drop will be. In December, it was announced that the “Static Reflective” colorway would be limited to 5,000 pairs worldwide.

Following a preview last month, Kanye West and Adidas have given the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Hyperspace” an official release date.

The shoe features a re-engineered Primeknit upper coming in a cool mint green color palette with a post-dyed monofilament side stripe woven into the upper. The sneaker’s midsole utilizes Adidas’ trademark Boost technology, which makes Yeezy so famously comfortable.

Meanwhile, a new colorway of the popular Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 is dropping this week. The Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Inertia” hits stores on March 9 and will retail for $300. The gray-blue sneaker features Boost cushioning, a cream outsole and an upper made of suede, premium leather and mesh.

This comes on the heels of Kanye West telling Hood by Air founder Shayne Oliver that he’s been “fighting” to be Adidas creative director. The 41-year-old rapper-turned-designer released his first Adidas Yeezy sneaker in 2015.

Following a monthlong hiatus to start off the new year, Kanye West and Adidas are back with a brand-new iteration of the Yeezy Boost 700, rumored to launch next month.

The latest round of leaks comes courtesy of The Yeezy Mafia on Twitter, featuring the highly celebrated Yeezy Boost 700 dad sneaker in a colorway that fans of the line may recognize.

This “Salt” makeup opts for gray hues throughout the majority of the kicks, including on the leather-based running-styled upper, with suede panels acting as the mudguard and heel counter. Breathable mesh covers the Three Stripes branding, which is vaguely seen on both the lateral and medial sides while also used on both the tongue and the ankle collar. A light blue tint offsets the rest of the shoe, seen on the chunky Boost-cushioned midsole, with contrasting black accents found by the heel and on the Trefoil branding on the outsole.

It turns out that there is only one factor that can slow down sales of Kanye West’s Yeezy shoes. It’s not ’Ye describing slavery as a “choice,” or going full MAGA rally in a meeting with Trump at the Oval Office. No, it’s something simpler: Tweaking the supply causes the most change. Originally, Adidas sold Yeezys in small numbers by design. Experts considered scarcity the key to the whole operation. But last quarter, the Three Stripes opened the floodgates, releasing the shoe in much higher quantities. The immediate results were surprising: For the first time, Yeezys didn’t immediately sell out. You could just…buy a pair. The longer-term results were possibly more surprising: Expanding the stock led to a 500 percent increase in Yeezy sales, according to NPD’s Matt Powell. The only thing that had stopped people from buying Yeezys, apparently, was the shoes’ lack of availability.
